LUCKNOW: The Lucknow development authority (LDA) is set to expedite land acquisition for various housing schemes in different areas of the city. This core issue, along with several others, is to be discussed in the LDA board meeting to be held on Wednesday.

In the board meeting, decisions on land acquisition for different residential schemes, including IT City, Wellness City, Sitapur Road, and other areas, will be made.

The authority will focus on planned development on the Lucknow-Sultanpur national highway by purchasing land based on consent and mobilising land through land pooling.

The discussion will also cover providing equivalent land in lieu of Army land falling under the Green Corridor and the acquisition of land from the forest department, which is part of the 60-metre road connecting the scheme to the outer ring road. This is for the implementation of the Mohan Road scheme of LDA, involving purchasing or acquiring land by consensus and reclaiming land registered with the state govt.

The proposal from EESL for the charging points of e-vehicles will also be discussed, along with permissions for converting residential property into commercial property.

Apart from this, several other discussions on land acquisition, permissions and other matters will be conducted in the board meeting.
