LUCKNOW: The LDA on Tuesday demolished an illegally constructed five-storey commercial complex in Indiranagar. The operation was carried out following a directive from LDA vice-chairman Prathmesh Kumar.

The complex, spanning approximately 10,000 sqft, included shops and 10 flats. The complex, owned by builder Amar Agarwal, was constructed without obtaining necessary approvals and violated building regulations.

The order was issued after a complaint was filed against the illegal construction. A team led by additional secretary Gyanendra Verma along with officials from enforcement zone-five and local authorities executed the demolition.

Meanwhile, illegal plotting spanning 6.25 acres in Sarojininagar was demolished by enforcement zone-3 under zonal officer Vandana Pandey. Illegal plotting across four acres near Kisan Path in Mohanlalganj and five unauthorised commercial constructions in Gosainganj, Nagaram Road and South City were also sealed.
