LUCKNOW: The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) demolished an illegally developed colony named Palm Residency in Sushant Golf City on Tuesday as part of its ongoing drive against unauthorised constructions in the city.

The illegal colony was being developed over nearly 38 acres of land in Bakkas village. The colony was being developed without any layout approval from the LDA. Roads, drains, boundary walls and a site office had already came up on the site.

Zonal officer Devansh Trivedi said, “The demolition was carried out on the court’s directive by LDA’s enforcement team with police support. This is part of our continued efforts to curb illegal plotting. We urge developers and buyers to ensure proper approvals before starting any project as LDA will take strict action against unauthorised developments anywhere in Lucknow.”
