CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh municipal corporation is all set to resume serving property tax notices to defaulters in all categories from next month.
MC might go ahead and attach properties of property tax defaulters if they don’t clear the dues.
“The department is in the process of preparing a list of all such property tax defaulters, who have not been paying property tax to the civic body for long,” sources said.
MC had given two-month period in the current financial year to avail rebate. After two months, the defaulters had to pay 25% penalty on the total dues.
