MUMBAI: Mhada‘s Mumbai Board has announced a housing lottery for the sale of 2,030 flats in various housing projects at Pahadi Goregaon, Antop Hill-Wadala, Kopri Powai, Kannamwar Nagar in Vikhroli and Shivdham Complex in Malad. Online registration and application begins Aug 9 for the lottery that will be conducted Sept 13.
The draw will feature 359 flats for the economically weaker section (EWS), 627 flats for the lower income group (LIG), 768 flats for the middle-income group (MIG) and 276 flats for the higher income group (HIG). These include 1,327 newly constructed flats by Mhada, of which 370 have been obtained as housing stock from developers under redevelopment projects according to DC Regulations 33(5), 33(7), and 58. Apart from these, there are 333 “scattered flats” from previous lotteries.
The annual family income limit is Rs 6 lakh for EWS, Rs 9 lakh for LIG, Rs 12 lakh in MIG and above Rs 12 lakh for HIG. Applicants from EWS can apply for houses both in EWS and LIG while LIG persons may apply for both LIG and MIG categories. Individuals from the middle income group can apply in both MIG and HIG categories. Those from the higher income group can only apply in the HIG category.
The deadline for submitting online applications is 3.00 pm Sept 4. The online deposit amount will be accepted that very day. The computerised lottery will be conducted at 11.00 am Sept 13.
The process for online registration and application will be launched by Mhada vice president and CEO Sanjeev Jaiswal at a live event on Friday, Aug 9.
Applicants can use the mobile app ‘Mhada Housing Lottery System’ and seek guidance on Mhada’s website https://housing(dot)mhada(dot)gov(dot)in. Meanwhile, the lottery advertisement will be published Aug 8 on the website along with an information booklet.
