Over 400 Ha To Be Added Near Sector 7 In Pithampur, Real Estate News, ET RealEstate

INDORE: Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) is planning to add another 400-500 hectare near the proposed industrial belt, Sector 7 in Pithampur, amid demand for land from industries in the vicinity of Indore.

MPIDC is developing Sector 7 in Pithampur on more than 2000 hectare and contemplating to add 400-500 hectare near the proposed industrial belt to accommodate fresh investments and develop clusters.

The department has started land pooling and accepting consents from farmers to add around 400-500 hectare near to Sector 7 industrial area.

“Industries have a lot of inclination for this region and want land parcels in the vicinity of 20-25 km from Indore to set up industries. We have received many proposals and to accommodate fresh demand, we have started working on adding more 400-500 hectare close to Sector 7. The survey of the land has started,” said an official wishing anonymity.

MPIDC is planning to develop clusters and industrial areas for small and medium industries.

“As we have proposals from many large industries, so initially the focus will be on large industries. In the later phase, we will focus on small industries and clusters,” said the official.

MP government has issued land allotment letters to at least 8 industries in Sector 7 and issued residential and commercial land parcels to the owners of the land as part of the land pooling policy.

Some industry associations like footwear and furniture have also demanded land in Sector 7 industrial area besides MPIDC has also reserved land parcels of around 300 hectare for some industries, said officials.
