PANCHKULA: Panchkula deputy commissioner (DC) Dr. Yash Garg took cognizance of a land demarcation complaint of Thapdi village resident Gopal Singh and directed the law enforcement officers to get the investigation done and send a report in this regard by Friday or face suspension.
In his complaint, Gopal Singh said that two years ago the court had ordered demarcation of his land and despite court orders, the patwari-kanungo (revenue officers) did not address his complaint. The DC was listening to the problems of the common people while presiding over a Samadhan camp organized in the auditorium of the mini secretariat, Sector 1.
The DC instructed the officials concerned to resolve the complaints related to Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) in the camp as soon as possible. On the complaint of the people of Majri village, the DC directed the joint commissioner of the municipal corporation to investigate the matter.
In another case, on the complaint of one Indrajit Kaur, Dr. Yash Garg instructed the police to convince her son to let the old woman stay at home an if the son did not listen to the police, then he would be taken to DC court.
The DC handed over the investigation of another case to the DCP wherein a man said he had purchased a plot in Bitna village 12 years ago, got its possession at the same time, but he was unable to get the registration done. Issuing directions in another case, the DC instructed the joint commissioner to complete the registration process of he complainant’s mother’s plot as per the rules in the names of her three sons .
A resident of Ganeshpur Boriya village told the DC that B&R land in the village was being encroached upon by some people. He added that while the kanungo had informed the Patwari about this several times, the land was not being transferred to the name of the B&R department. On the complaint of the panchayat of Debra village, Dr. Yash Garg ordered that proper arrangements should be made to stop the river water in the village before the rainy season and there should be no lapse in the safety of the village populace.
The DC also ordered the forest department to ensure arrangements to cross the drains of Bhoj Paonta village during the rainy season so that children were not deprived of going to school during the monsoon. The DC also directed the public health department to make proper arrangements for drinking water to about 40 houses of Bhoj Nayika village.
The officials of the electricity department were instructed to remove wires adjacent to a house in Tikar Tal. It was stated in the complaint that during rains electric current flowed in the house. On the complaint of Bhupendra Singh of Mahadev Colony of Surajpur village, instructions were given to the power officials to replace the exposed wires before the rains.
