PATIALA: The Patiala Development Authority (PDA), under chief administrator Manisha Rana and additional chief administrator Jashanpreet Kaur Gill, took action against two unauthorised colonies that were developed in violation of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995.

These colonies, located in Seona village and Balbehra village, were demolished.

PDA officials emphasised their commitment to safeguarding public investments and preventing unregulated development in the district. They reiterated that strict action will be taken against any unauthorised colonies within the jurisdiction of PDA, Patiala.

In addition to these demolitions, the PDA issued notices to several other colonisers involved in developing unauthorised colonies.

If the required documents are not provided or notices remain unaddressed within the stipulated period, similar action will be initiated, including the registration of FIRs under the relevant sections of the Punjab Apartment and Property Regulation Act, 1995, the officials said.

The operation was carried out in the presence of district town planner Seema Kaushal and others.
