JAIPUR: MoS urban development and housing (independent charge) Jhabar Singh Kharra assured the Assembly Wednesday that Jodhpur High Court‘s directives were not violated in granting land use changes in urban areas in the past three years. Addressing concerns raised in the Assembly, he stated, “We have strictly adhered to the High Court’s directions, and no approvals were granted in violation of these orders.”

He further assured that a complaint regarding land use change from warehouse to residential in Pilibanga area would be investigated within a month. “If any irregularity is found, appropriate action will be taken as per the rules,” he said.

The minister emphasised that amendments to Rajasthan Urban Land Use Change Rules-2010, notified on Feb 24 and Nov 6, 2024, granted full authority to the State-Level Land Use Change Committee for changes in master plans and zonal development plans. “Only those cases that comply with the High Court’s directives are considered for approval,” he clarified.
