BHOPAL: Over 100 residents of Dwarka Dham Colony, Karond, approached Gandhi Nagar police station on Thursday night to file a complaint against the builder group that developed the colony.

The single power supply (HT connection) of the colony is issued in the name of the builder, as the society has not been handed over due to incomplete work. For the past five months, the power supply of the colony is being disconnected by the power distribution company for a day or two due to outstanding payment.

The builder fails to collect the dues from all the residents, which causes inconvenience to those who pay their bills regularly.

Puneet Sharma, a resident of Dwarka Dham Colony, said that around 800 to 1,000 families reside in Dwarka Dham Colony. Due to improper bill collection by the builder, they face problems every month for the past five months.

The power distribution company disconnects the power supply over outstanding dues. Earlier, the power supply company officials considered the matter and did not disconnect the power supply for long. However, they disconnected the power supply on Thursday morning, causing significant problems for the residents.

As a result, more than 100 residents approached Gandhi Nagar police to lodge a complaint against the builder group.

SHO Gandhi Nagar Suresh Farkale said that police received a complaint from the residents, and the matter is being investigated. Appropriate action will be taken after investigations.
