NASHIK: Over 2,600 grievances related to various civic issues have been pending with the various departments of the Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) for the past two months.

Taking serious cognizance of this, municipal commissioner Manisha Khatri instructed the officials concerned to immediately address the grievances and resolve all the pending issues within a week.

Her instructions came during a recent meeting with the head of departments while reviewing the progress of the online grievances of the city residents. Khatri told the officials that she would review the pendency of the grievances in the next meeting.

Most of the complaints have been registered on the NMC’s e-Connect App. Sandesh Shintre, a resident, said he had complained about the burning of garbage along the city road on NMC’s e-Connect App around a fortnight ago. “But I got the call from the concerned civic official a week after the complaint was registered. What is the use if the official takes cognizance of the complaint about the garbage burning a week later,” said Shintre.
