JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has disposed of residential and commercial properties worth Rs 142.54 crore in the e-auction held between Oct 3 and Oct 5, 2024.

“We have sold a total of 54 properties under e-auction. We are going to earn around Rs 90.70 crore from Jaipur, Rs 23.63 crores from Jodhpur, Rs 27.31 crores from Alwar and Bhiwadi, Rs 15 lakhs from Bikaner, and Rs 64 lakhs from Churu,” said an RHB official.

In the first phase of the auction, RHB sold as many as 1,010 houses in just 35 days, earning a revenue of Rs 162 crore. This was also recorded in the Book of World Records. In the second phase of the auction, RHB broke the record by selling 1,213 houses in just 12 days through e-auctions.

After the BJP govt came to power, the e-auction was on hold for almost a year before the board decided to resume the auctions for unsold properties.

“The board ensured wide publicity of this auction being held after a long time, as a result of which a large number of people participated in this auction. In the coming times also, through similar schemes from the Housing Board, the general public will get a chance to avail themselves of the benefits of such schemes in maximum numbers,” said housing commissioner Dr Rashmi Sharma. The e-auction will now be held again from October 7 to 9, 14 to 16, and 21 to 23.
