Sports fans worldwide are anticipating the 2024 Olympics. One particularly decorated athlete is set to make a big comeback in Paris—but back here in the US, Simone Biles’s house is in the Lone Star State.
Though she was born in Ohio, the 27-year-old has lived most of her life in Texas. It seems the gold medalist won’t be leaving the area anytime soon, as she and her husband, Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens, are making steady progress building a home in Houston. Apart from her family abode, Biles has lived mainly in three different places in recent years.

Brick house in Texas
As seen in the 2021 Facebook Watch documentary Simone vs Herself, Biles resided in a quaint Texas brick house topped with a mixed gable and hip roof, featuring a two-car garage and a modest porch. High ceilings and a cool gray color scheme defined the interior look. In the kitchen, a gray backsplash, white cabinets with gray undertones, and mixed gray stone countertops set a serene tone.
Contemporary ranch-style abode
By 2021, the Athleta spokeswoman had bought a contemporary ranch-style Texas home with a pristine white façade and a spacious backyard. Outside, amenities include an L-shaped pool with a spa and a modern metal pergola with a matching eight-seater swing set arranged around a wooden table. As for the interiors, Biles stuck to her soft gray palette with the kitchen, which features a gray-and-white waterfall island, charcoal gray cabinetry and bar stools, and stainless steel appliances. The Olympian added a personalized touch with decals of her last name running through a giant capital “B” above the names of her French bulldogs, Lilo and Rambo. (According to People, Biles has since welcomed another French bulldog, Zeus, into the family.) As far as is known, the gymnast still resides at this home.
Green Bay residence
Biles married Owens during her hiatus from gymnastics. He joined the Green Bay Packers one month after their wedding, and although Biles mentioned to Vanity Fair in February that the couple “have a place in Green Bay,” not much is known about their Wisconsin pad; given Owens’s current contract with the Chicago Bears, it’s safe to say neither of them reside in Green Bay at the moment.

Custom Texas dream house
In March of 2023, Biles and Owens broke ground on their new waterfront property in Houston, documenting their home-building journey on Instagram. Months later, Biles shared shots of the home’s skeleton, which showed double-height rooms and sliding doors throughout the ground floor. Biles mentioned that the home will feature a theater, game room, a wet bar, and balconies with water views on the upper level. This summer, the gymnast revealed even more progress, this time showcasing the kitchen’s giant waterfall island and countertops—both in her signature grayscale palette—along with white cupboards. What could potentially be finished as a laundry room or pantry appears to display white cabinetry with black-and-white tiles.
