TUTICORIN: Minister for industries T R B Rajaa on Saturday said that the Tidel Neo Park, a mini-IT park, in Tuticorin will be inaugurated by chief minister M K Stalin soon.
Rajaa, along with social welfare minister P Geetha Jeevan, collector K Elambahavath, and other officials, inspected the site of the Tidel Neo Park in Tuticorin on Saturday. “During the Covid-19 pandemic, IT employees returned to their native places to work from home. Now, in order to give a chance for youngsters to stay closer to their parents, chief minister Stalin announced the mini-IT park project for Tuticorin,” said Rajaa.
The park was established at a cost of 30 crore. Spread across 4.16 acres, the multi-storey mini-IT park is set to offer 50,937sqft of leasable state-of-the-art workspace, equipped with amenities like air conditioning and an integrated building management system (IBMS). “Already 11 companies have shown interest to lease space in the facility. We have received many inquiries and a few confirmations too. The IT park will create more job opportunities for youngsters in south Tamil Nadu,” Rajaa added.
