PANAJI: South Goa district magistrate Asvin Chandru A has directed owners and managements of houses, buildings, flats and other residential and commercial premises to conduct verification of tenants.
The magistrate has directed that the verification must be carried out through proof of identity such as election card, driving licence, Aadhaar card, passport, etc. and that necessary arrangements should be made for the entry of details of customers/visitors in the PATHIK (Programme for Analysis of Traveller and Hotel Informatics) software created by the police.
This direction is also applicable to the owners/management of hotels, lodging, boarding, shacks, private guesthouses, paying guest accommodation of religious bodies, temporary residential accommodation, etc in South Goa.
