PUNE: The online leave and license registrations resumed on Saturday, with the state IT department addressing the technical issues after seven days.
State IT director Nima Arora told TOI that they were able to start online registrations late in afternoon on Republic Day. However, e-registration from developer offices is still on hold due to a problem in authentication and the IT department is working on it to resolve the issue, an official said.
“The work of leave and license registration was affected due to non-authentication issues because of some problem with the sub-authorised authentication agency and not with the main authentication user agency (AUA) of the department of information technology. The sub-AUA has been instructed to check the version of the device they are using for carrying out transactions, install the new certificate in their servers, and restart it to streamline the services,” she said, adding that there should be a dedicated team to look into these issues so that citizens do not face any hassles.
Citizens were unable to register their documents because of non-linking of Aadhaar data with UIDAI server. TOI had highlighted the issue in its January 26, 2024 edition.
The authorised service providers confirmed that the system has restarted. Mahendra Gandhi of the Association of Service Providers (ASP) said that many applications ARE pending as the system was not functioning for a week.
