All new furniture was selected for the apartment with only some paintings that were already there remaining. The new coffee table, made of an old carpenter’s workbench, stands out among the new additions as does the striped pouf, custom-made by the studio. “As it turns out, we are now going to start producing them,” Jesús says. The chairs are by Blasco.
In the primary bedroom, which opens onto the same terrace as the living area, “everything was changed. We only kept the wooden step that gives access to the terrace because we thought it was an appealing detail, but the rest we carpeted with the same sisal used in other parts of the apartment. We created a headboard that extends beyond the bed itself to unify the entire space and there’s even a cutout to accommodate the step to the terrace. We kept everything very simple so the emphasis is on the terrace.”
