HARIDWAR: The Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority (HRDA) has recently launched the ‘UDAY’ app for online approval of maps of up to 100m area without the assistance of any authorised architect. Soon, the area limit will be increased to 200m area, officials said.
Vice chairman of HRDA, Anshul Singh, told TOI, “Maps under 100 metres are being approved online through the ‘UDAY’ app and our teams are delivering the approved maps at applicants’ home to make people aware about the app.”
He added, “So far, more than 100 maps have been handed over to the applicants at their homes by the HRDA engineers. There are a lot of prebuilt designs in the app which can be used by the applicants. If the prebuilt design is not suitable according to area, the applicant can avail the facility of the department’s architect to prepare the design.”
Akshay Sharma, a resident of the city who has used the app, said, “The app is hassle-free and easy to use. Plus, it saves a lot of time in getting approval.”
