VARANASI: Varanasi Development Authority vice chairman Pulkit Garg on Tuesday unveiled the revised Master Plan-2031 of the city at the VDA auditorium in the presence of board members and other dignitaries.
Highlighting the contents of the revised masterplan VDA’s city planner Prabhat Kumar said that restrictions on construction work in Sarnath area had been relaxed following consultation with the Archaeological Survey of India and other departments concerned. Norms for the height of residential construction and others near the places like circuit house, residences of district magistrate, district judge and others has been increased to 17.5 meters from 12.5 meters. He also threw light on many other initiatives included for planned expansion of the city. VDA secretary Ved Prakash Mishra and joint secretary Parmanand Yadav were present.
