YS Jagan to distribute registered deeds of house-sites to women in Ongole

VIJAYAWADA: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy will distribute registered conveyance deeds of house sites to about twenty thousand poor women in Ongole on Friday. The registered conveyance deeds will give full rights over the house site to the beneficiaries. He will also hand over the housing unit sanction letters to the beneficiaries. The state government has granted the process of registration of house-sites since YS Jagan Mohan Reddy took over the reins of the state on the fast track by empowering the village/ward administrative secretaries as joint sub-registrars.

About 31 lakh beneficiaries will be receiving registered conveyance deeds in the next few days. The chief minister would be formally launching the distribution of conveyance deeds at a programme to be held in Ongole. In fact, the programme in Ongole is being organised to grant house-sites to about 20000 women which has been in pending for the past few years. “It is yet another revolutionary decision taken by the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy to benefit the poor woman. The conveyance deed will provide full rights on the house site after 10 years. Accordingly, conveyance deeds are being provided with free registration in village/ ward secretariats itself,” said revenue minister Dharmana Prasada Rao. He said that Acts have been amended to provide title rights to the house-site beneficiaries which would free them from any legal glitches in future. The registered document will give full title right over the asset making the poor woman owners of their house-site and also house.


BOON TO POOR

*The registration process is being carried out in 15,004 village/ward secretariats across the State.
*About 15 lakh registrations have been completed till Thursday, and the remaining registrations are being completed at a rapid pace.
*All land details are securely stored in the database of the Joint Sub Registrar Office (JSRO) located in village/ward secretariats.
*Beneficiaries can obtain certified copies of their land records from these JSROs at any time.
*This will eliminate the possibility of forgery or tampering with the records.

*After ten years, beneficiaries will gain complete rights to their house sites, which include buying, selling, donating, and inheritance.
*In case of necessity, they can sell their house sites without any need of approval from authorities or No Objection Certificate (NOC).

*No necessity for any link documents for registration

*About 31.19 lakh women have been granted free house site pattas across 17,005 layouts spanning 71,811 acres
*The value of each plot ranges from Rs. 2.5 lakhs to Rs. 15 lakhs. *Even if the minimum value is calculated at Rs. 2.5 lakhs, the value of the house site pattas itself is more than Rs. 76,000 crores: Dharmana Pasada Rao, revenue minister
*We have taken up construction of 22 lakh houses at an approximate cost of Rs.60,000 Crores: Jogi Ramesh, housing minister
*The state government has so far completed the construction of 8.9 lakh houses and handed them over to the beneficiaries.
*Basic amenities such as water supply, electricity, drainage, sewerage, and roads are provided in 17,005 YSR-Jagananna colony layouts across the state, at a cost of Rs. 32,909 crores.
