GURUGRAM: DTCP demolished nine unauthorised colonies during a demolition drive across villages in Sultanpur and Farrukhnagar on Monday. The operation, under the jurisdiction of Farrukhnagar police station, was conducted to curb illegal structures, road networks and other unapproved buildings.

The largest demolition occurred in Sultanpur, where three colonies spread across 33 acre were entirely dismantled.

Authorities razed 10 farmhouses, five boundary walls and the entire bitumen road network in the area.

In Khurrampur village, officials demolished the road network in an unauthorized colony covering approximately 3 acres. Three illegal colonies in Farrukhnagar, spanning around 12 acres, were dismantled.

The demolition included the removal of one service station, two under-construction buildings, and the entire road network within the colonies. These structures were reportedly developed without necessary permits, prompting authorities to take action.

In Mubarakpur, two unauthorized colonies occupying roughly 9.5 acres were cleared, during which an under-construction building and the road network were removed.

The operation was overseen by Duty Magistrate Anish Grover, ATP O/o DTP(E), Gurgaon, along with other officials including DTP (E) Manish Yadav, J.E. Naveen and support staff.

During the drive, officials addressed residents, advised them against investing in unauthorized colonies and urged them to verify land status with the Department of Town and Planning (DTP) before purchasing any property.

This demolition drive aims to prevent illegal land development and ensure that urban expansion adheres to lawful planning and development standards.
