Ahmedabad civic body seals 2,700 properties of tax defaulters, ET RealEstate

AHMEDABAD: On Friday, the property tax department of the East Zone of AMC sealed properties of defaulters in the eastern part of the city. A total of 2,785 properties of tax defaulters were sealed in a day.

The corporation collected Rs 82.36 lakh in tax revenue. Properties were sealed in complexes and estates such as Mahadev Estate in Ramol, Khodiyar Complex in Nikol, Arat Industrial Estate in Rakhial, Janak Estate, Silval Square Complex in Nikol, and Tejendra Complex in Amraiwadi.

Illegal constructions demolished in Kalupur

The estate TDO department of the Central Zone of AMC on Friday demolished illegal commercial constructions in Maskati Market, Kalupur area of Khadia Ward. The demolition included 835 square feet of illegal construction on the ground and first floors.

Traffic police and the estate department took action to remove encroachments in areas such as Delhi Darwaza to Namaskar Circle, Jamalpur Flower Market, Jamalpur Vegetable Market, and Bhadra Plaza on Friday.
