LUCKNOW: The state govt signed a memorandum of agreement (MoA) with the ministry of housing and urban affairs (MoHUA) to implement ‘housing for all‘ in UP.
The two sides will roll out the second phase of Prime Minister Awas Scheme (urban) (PMAY-U 2.0) signing the document was essential between

With close to 90 lakh houses already constructed under the first phase, in the second phase the objective is to deliver 1 crore pucca houses to families staying within the urban areas in the country.
Principal secretary of the urban development department, UP, Amrit Abhijat said that the state is committed to ensuring the successful implementation of PMAY-U 2.0. “The scheme is aligned with the vision of providing quality housing that promotes dignity, security and better opportunities for urban residents. Special attention will be given to cater to sanitation workers, street vendors registered under SVANidhi and artisans enrolled under Vishwakarma scheme besides other marginalised groups,” said Abhijat.
