MANDYA: A new initiative was launched in Mandya to provide e-katha for all remaining property assets within the jurisdiction of the state’s municipal local bodies, aiming to complete the process within three months.

MLA P Ravi Kumar Ganiga launched the drive on Monday and urged residents within Mandya city limits to take full advantage of the campaign.

Speaking to reporters at the City Municipal Council, the Congress MLA explained that residents who own plots or houses in Mandya city can apply along with the necessary documents to the municipal office.

“Upon submission, an e-katha will be provided immediately. The initiative will run for three months, and citizens are advised to directly visit the municipal office, submit their documents, and obtain the documents. To raise awareness, campaigns will be organised in each ward, led by local ward members. Approximately 18,000 to 20,000 people in Mandya are expected to benefit from the initiative,” he said.

The MLA also outlined various upcoming developmental projects for the city. He stated that road and footpath improvements in key areas within the Mandya constituency would be given top priority. Areas requiring asphalting or new road construction would be addressed swiftly.

Additionally, to enhance pedestrian comfort, efforts will be made to improve and beautify the city’s footpaths, ensuring a more walk-friendly environment for residents.

This comprehensive initiative seeks to improve both administrative efficiency and urban infrastructure in Mandya, benefiting thousands of residents in the coming months.
