GURUGRAM: The enforcement wing of the department of town and country planning (DTCP) has intensified its crackdown on illegal constructions and unauthorised commercial activities in residential properties of DLF 3.

In a recent action, 300 additional notices have been issued, bringing the total to 1,438.

DTP enforcement officer Amit Madholia said, “The notice issuance process is ongoing and our actions are aligned with the high court’s guidelines and the submitted action taken report.” “We are committed to restoring compliance in the area and ensuring accountability from all defaulters,” Madholia said on Wednesday.

Notices are being systematically pasted on the properties, with 1,100 notices already displayed to ensure compliance with zoning regulations.

According to officials, the survey conducted across DLF Phases 1 to 5 revealed violations in approximately 4,200 properties.

DLF Phase 3 emerged as a major hotspot, particularly the economically weaker section (EWS) housing segment, where over 83% of the units were found in violation of norms. These violations include illegal constructions and the use of residential properties for commercial purposes.

The DTCP aims to complete the process of issuing and pasting notices by Jan 31.Following this, restoration orders will be issued, allowing violators a grace period of 7-10 days to comply.
