GURUGRAM: MCG received 15 complaints in its samadhan camp, of which two were resolved in a meeting held on Thursday. A resident’s long-standing issue regarding property IDs was finally settled. Moreover, officials addressed a pending grievance from a Palam Vihar RWA concerning the delayed disbursement of park maintenance funds.

Sector 52 resident Manish Chahal said he raised multiple complaints about the duplication of his property tax ID and pursued the matter for six months. He requested a quick resolution since his wife is battling cancer, and he needs to be at the hospital for a significant time.

“Since July this year, I have continuously followed up to resolve the issue. Despite my efforts, there has been no resolution or satisfactory response to date. My wife is a cancer patient and going through multiple follow-ups in hospital, and I have to spend more time there,” read the complaint submitted by the resident.

The joint commissioner, Akhilesh Yadav, who chaired the meeting, immediately directed the concerned zonal taxation officer to resolve it. The officer and his team addressed the issue within 10 minutes on the spot, for which the resident had been making rounds of the MCG office for the last six months.

“Resolution of complaints related to sewage and sanitation should be prioritised. In addition, estimates should be prepared for complaints that require time to resolve, and the tender process should be initiated. The complainant should be kept in the loop about the progress,” said Yadav in the meeting.

Officials also addressed a complaint from a Palam Vihar RWA concerning the delayed disbursement of park maintenance funds.

The RWA had not received any funding for nine months.Representatives from Palam Vihar block-C RWA brought up the complaint related to the horticulture department.

They reported that the maintenance of parks in their block was assigned to the RWA by the MCG, but the maintenance fee was not paid for the past nine months.
