RAIPUR: Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI), Raipur, one of the country’s leading chambers, boasting the highest number of members in India, has hailed the state budget tabled by Finance Minister of Chhattisgarh, OP Choudhary, on Monday.

An allocation of Rs 1,420 crore has been made for the settlement of industrial subsidies. The cess on stamp duty for real estate transactions has been removed.

The CCI described the budget as developmental. The budget includes several provisions for women’s empowerment, poverty alleviation, and infrastructural development.

Additionally, an announcement was made to provide concessional land for the state office of the Chamber building, a move warmly welcomed and appreciated by the Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce on behalf of its 1.2 million traders.

Key budget decisions to accelerate state’s economic development include increase in E-Way Bill Limit from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1,00,000, VAT liability waiver. VAT dues up to rs 25,000 on cases pending for over ten years will be waived, benefiting more than 40,000 traders and reducing over 62,000 litigation cases, said CCCI president Amar Parwani.

The budget includes provisions to enhance logistics, transport, and commercial infrastructure across the state.

Petrol prices have been reduced by Rs 1 per liter.

The implementation of the SSIP Student Startup & Innovation Policy has been ensured to support young entrepreneurs.
