Chennai Unveils Over 3,200 New Tenements Amid Development Initiatives, ET RealEstate

CHENNAI: Chief minister M K Stalin on Tuesday virtually inaugurated 3,268 tenements of the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB). These houses were constructed at a cost of 426 crore in cities across the state.

The tenements are located in 12 places, including five in Chennai, two each in Coimbatore and Erode, and one each in Kanyakumari, Thanjavur and Trichy.

Stalin also laid the foundation stone for six new projects of CMDA at a cost of 98 crore. The projects include revamping five lakes in Perumbakkam, Mudichur, Ayanambakkam, Velachery and Sikkanan. The sixth project is the beautification of the area beneath Velachery bridge for 4.5 crore.

Stalin later inaugurated new buildings constructed in govt arts and sciences colleges, engineering colleges, and universities worth 156 crore.
