HYDERABAD: The special task force (STF) in Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) demolished 439 unauthorised constructions in the city during the last three months.
As per the TSbPASS rules, the special task force at zonal office level, headed by zonal commissioner, was constituted to detect and monitor unauthorised constructions, unauthorised layouts and take timely enforcement action.
Accordingly, identification of unauthorised constructions is being done by designated ward town planner/NAC engineer.
After due verification with sanction details, show cause notice is issued from circle level calling for submission of explanation from the owner. Further, on examining any reply received from the owner, a speaking order is issued for justification of action and informing the owner to pull down the unauthorised structure. The owner is informed that the department will initiate action.
The zonal commissioners have been monitoring STF activities. Some unauthorised constructions in initial stages have been demolished immediately.
