Goa government forms panel to revise circle rates of properties, ET RealEstate

PANAJI: Govt has constituted a 15-member committee headed by revenue secretary to determine, analyse and revise the circle rates and built-up rates of properties. The committee will be in force for two years and will meet quarterly to review the progress.

The committee will analyse the current market trends and rates and propose a revised circle rate for land. It is also tasked to suggest a mechanism to periodically revise the rates as well as ways to improve the revenue mobilisation.

It will also have to work out ways of ease of doing business in the registration department. Its task also involves drafting guidelines for calculations of rates for construction.

In another notification, govt has formed a sub-committee to assist the committee to study various land parameters for determination of circle rate and built-up rate. The sub-committee will remain in force for two years and meet bimonthly.
