Jaipur development body extends application time for two residential schemes, ET RealEstate

JAIPUR: Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) Wednesday extended the last date for applications for two residential schemes—Atal Vihar Yojana and Govind Yojana—till Feb 7. Officials said the decision was taken in view of the huge number of applications received.

“We received more than one lakh applications for these two schemes, of which the maximum applications came from general category. There are a total of 756 plots for our three upcoming residential schemes, including the one at Patel Nagar,” said a JDA official.

Applications for plots at JDA’s Patel Nagar residential scheme can be submitted till Feb 13.

According to figures shared by JDA, 75,293 online applications have been received so far for plots in Govind Yojana, of which 47,066 applications came from the general category. Apart from this, 10,414 applications were made by govt employees, 8,847 applications by ST category, 7,528 by SC category, 95 by journalists, 26 by transgenders, and 1,317 by soldiers.

For Atal Yojana, a total of 47,650 applications have been received. Of these, 33,649 applications were received from general category, 6,372 from govt employees, 1,809 from ST category, 3,556 from SC category, 58 from journalists, 20 from transgenders, and 1,915 from soldiers.

“Significantly, 46 transgenders applied for these two schemes,” a JDA official noted.

The lottery for Govind Vihar will be drawn on Feb 20 and for Atal Vihar on Feb 14. Lottery for Patel Nagar will be drawn on Feb 24, officials said.
