The UK vintage furniture and lighting store Merchant & Found, established by the Conran Shop, House of Fraser, and Habitat veteran Paul Middlemiss, has been regaling customers with 20th-century treasures since 2018. Many of them will be up for grabs in the 6,000-square-foot Vintage Supermarket, which the specialty retailer is revealing during London Craft Week. Between May 15 and 18 at the Vinyl Factory in Soho, discoveries will be showcased in an upbeat grocery store setting, complete with original fixtures, signage, and produce counters. Artists and makers including Marcia Bennett Male, Jahday Ford, Clemence Joly, Kate Jenkins, Nick Malyon, Hattie Newman, and Johnny Tapp will be infusing the space with a contemporary air through installations that incorporate stone, glass, paper, crochet, neon, and wood. Merchant & Found’s pop-up atelier will simultaneously enlighten visitors with its expertise in repairs.

Jayson Home, the Chicago go-to for modern and vintage furniture and accessories, is heading to Bergdorf Goodman. On May 2 (through August 19), the retailer will fill 1,000 square feet of the posh New York department store’s seventh floor with finds like 1970s brass Chiavari chairs, recycled glass tumblers hand-blown in Morocco, and tree-print pillows that reimagine 18th-century French domino papers.

Dazzling patterns are a hallmark of B Corp–certified Minna’s pillows, throw blankets, rugs, bedding, and towels made in collaboration with Central and South American artisans, a reflection of founder Sara Berks’s own artistic practice. In recent years, Berk’s focus has shifted from weaving to painting, prompting her team to conceive Portals, the Hudson, New York, shop and studio’s inaugural exploration of wall coverings. These digitally, sustainably printed wallpapers are an expansive canvas for Berks’s dusty florals, delicate grids, and rounded, stacked, and undulating motifs. Most of them are buoyed by complementary fabrics, and all of them are done up in bright, lush, and calming hues alike.

…Carl Hansen & Søn has rolled out an adorable child-size rendition of Hans J. Wegner’s Ming Dynasty–inspired Wishbone chair. The Danish designer, who would have turned 110 this year, dreamed up Wishbone in 1949, fusing its signature Y-shaped back with a steam-bent wood top and paper cord seat handwoven in an envelope pattern. Although it’s diminutive, the scaled-down version is, like the original, painstakingly crafted: It comprises 14 different components that require some 100 production steps to bring to life at Carl Hansen & Søn’s factory in Gelsted, Denmark.
