NOIDA: Noida Authority has planned to hire a consultant to assist in land assembly activities. The consultant will help the Authority in managing both direct land purchases from owners and legal acquisition of land under the Land Acquisition Act.

Officials said the move is due to the growing demand for land for infrastructure development. According to officials, the total land to be assembled is estimated at 200 hectares, but this figure is tentative and subject to change based on the evolving needs of the city’s growth.

An official from the Authority said, “As the city is rapidly expanding, the land requirements for developmental work is skyrocketing. We need a structured approach to assembling large parcels of land for infrastructure projects, and that’s where the role of a consultant became essential.

The increasing complexity of the process, which included legal, administrative, and technical steps, made it necessary for the Authority to bring in an external agency with the expertise to handle these challenges efficiently.”

The consultant would help manage all aspects of land assembly, from identifying land parcels to conducting surveys, managing legal procedures and ensuring documentation. If landowners are unwilling to sell, the consultant would assist in acquiring the land legally.
