PRAYAGRAJ: Officials of the Prayagraj Development Authority (PDA) on Monday warned that stern action will be taken against construction of buildings without the approval of maps and layouts. PDA is holding ‘Manchitra Samadhan Diwas‘ (Map/Layout Solution Day) every Thursday of the month for building construction in Sangam City.

Officials appealed to residents to get the map/layout approved before starting any kind of construction work. A senior PDA official said, “Aspirants can either apply online for approval of building maps or they can visit the map technical committee located on the eighth floor of the Indra Bhawan building every Thursday for the disposal of queries or complaints.”

To get the map approved, the entire PDA team interacts with aspirants to solve their problems and grievances. If any kind of building construction work is done by the building owner without getting the map approved, then buildings can be sealed. .

Officials claimed that enforcement department of the PDA is taking action to seal buildings without an approved map. Moreover, the PDA is also running campaigns against unauthorised plotting of lands (without layout). Those engaged in illegal plotting/construction, along with demolition, a case will also be registered under relevant sections.
