JAIPUR: Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma Sunday instructed RIICO to explore locations for new industrial zones and collaborate with district collectors to create a land bank.

“Identifying land for industrial expansion is crucial. RIICO must proactively find suitable locations and work closely with district collectors to develop a land bank that ensures easy access for investors,” he said during a review meeting, while assessing the progress of MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. Additionally, he directed the chief secretary to conduct regular reviews of land allocation cases.

“We are working diligently to ensure that the MoUs materialise on the ground, and the results so far are encouraging,” Sharma said, emphasising the need for coordination and continuous monitoring by the concerned departments. He reiterated the state govt’s commitment to achieving a $350 billion economy, ensuring the proper execution of these MoUs. “With the goal of making Rajasthan a $350 billion economy, we are actively working on MoU implementation. Many investors already began work on the ground,” he added.

Under the Viksit Rajasthan 2047 vision, CM Sharma stressed the need for comprehensive development across the state, from districts to rural villages. “For Rajasthan’s holistic development, every region—from cities to the smallest villages—must progress. We will closely monitor govt schemes, the 2025-26 budget, and the Rising Rajasthan MoUs,” he stated. In the coming days, he will conduct a video conference to evaluate the performance of district administrations.

During the meeting, the tourism department provided a detailed report on MoUs signed under the Rising Rajasthan summit. CM Sharma announced that the next review meeting will focus on MoUs under urban development & housing department and the medical education department. “We will systematically review MoUs department-wise to ensure their timely execution,” he said.
